Dear Reader,

You know how summer sneaks up on you?

One minute you’re packing school lunches. The next you’re staring at a calendar filled with camps, work travel, and “we should really plan something” conversations that never quite land.

If you don’t schedule what matters, the urgent will gladly take its place.

Family time doesn’t become meaningful by accident. It becomes meaningful because you chose it, protected it, prioritized it. And when your kids are older, they won’t remember the perfectly optimized week. They’ll remember how it felt to be together.

That’s why I want to share two events our family is intentionally building our summer around. I’m not only speaking at these events, but I’m attending with my family. Fully present. Learning alongside them.

Because legacy isn’t taught in lectures. It’s caught in environments.

​Fambundance – Wisconsin (July 2026)​

Fambundance isn’t a typical conference. It’s a family immersion experience.

Think adventure meets personal growth meets deep connection. It’s designed for families who want more than entertainment, they want transformation. Workshops for parents. Experiences for kids. Conversations that stretch everyone. Outdoor activities that create shared memories instead of separate schedules. GoBundance Men and Women as well as guest families. (That means YOU)

It’s intentional time together with other growth-minded families.

​DLP Capital Extraordinary Impact Family Event – Tennessee (July 2026)

This one is different, but equally important. The ​Extraordinary Impact Family Even​t is designed for families who want to align wealth, values, and vision. It brings together parents, grandparents, and next-generation leaders to talk about stewardship, impact investing, leadership, and what it really means to build legacy beyond money.

There are curated sessions for adults and meaningful programming for rising leaders. It’s not about creating entitled heirs, it’s about raising capable, values-driven adults who understand responsibility and opportunity.

I’ll be speaking there for the third year in a row and again, our family will be present.

Dates: July 29-August 1 at Dollywood Resort, Gatlinburg, TN

You Can’t Pass Down What You Haven’t Defined

Summer will pass either way.

The question isn’t whether your kids will grow. They will.

The question is whether you’ll shape the growth or let culture do it for you.

You are the glue that holds everything together—even when it’s heavy. You’re the one managing the calendar, the career, and the heart of your family. Choosing experiences like these isn’t indulgent. It’s leadership.

If one of these feels aligned, don’t “think about it” for too long. Put it on the calendar. Protect it. Talk to your family about why it matters.

And if neither is the right fit, use this as your nudge to intentionally plan something that is.

Don’t let summer just happen.

Choose it.
